Agence SEO Zenith (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. This policy explains, in clear and simple terms, how we collect, use, share, and retain your information when you visit our website or use our services. It is written in accordance with Quebec’s Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (“Law 25”).

Information we collect

We collect only the information necessary for the purposes described below.

Identifiable personal information, when you provide it voluntarily (for example, through a contact form or quote request):

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Business information
  • Payment information, where applicable
  • The content of the messages you send us

Technical information, collected automatically as you browse the site, including through cookies:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referral source

How we use the information

We use this information to:

  • Provide and manage our services (SEO audits, website optimization, communications, preparing quotes)
  • Respond to your requests
  • Improve our site and services through usage statistics
  • Handle billing
  • Meet our legal obligations and protect the security of our systems and users

Consent

Sharing of information

  • Legal obligations, when required by law or in response to legal proceedings;
  • Protection, to enforce our rights or protect the safety of our users or the public.

Disclosure outside Quebec: some of our providers (notably Google and our scheduling tool) may store or process information outside Quebec, including in the United States. Before such a disclosure, we conduct a privacy impact assessment and take reasonable measures to ensure an adequate level of protection.

Retention and destruction

We keep your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or to meet our legal obligations. As a guideline:

  • Requests and quotes submitted through a form: kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange, then destroyed or anonymized;
  • Client data (contracts, billing): kept for the period required by our legal and tax obligations (generally 6 years);
  • Analytics data: kept in aggregated form; the retention period in Google Analytics is set to 14 months.

Once these periods expire, the information is securely destroyed or anonymized.

Data security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Your rights

Under Law 25, you have the following rights:

  • Access: obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous information;
  • Deletion: request deletion of your information where permitted by law;
  • De-indexing: request that we stop disseminating certain information or remove a hyperlink that provides access to it;
  • Portability: receive, in a structured and commonly used technological format, the computerized information you provided to us;
  • Withdrawal of consent: withdraw your consent to the processing of your information;
  • Objection and restriction: object to certain processing or request its restriction;
  • Source: learn the source of the information we hold, where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer. We respond within the timeframes required by law (generally 30 days).

Confidentiality incidents

We keep a register of confidentiality incidents. If an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec and the individuals concerned, and take the necessary steps to limit its consequences.

Complaints

If you believe we have not respected your rights, you may contact our Privacy Officer. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

Changes

We may update this policy at any time. Any change is posted on this page, along with the update date shown at the top.
